This year I went to my local movie theater to see a movie I’d been anticipating to see for multiple months. The movie was called US, and it was created by one of my favorite producers in Hollywood—Jordan Peele.

Now, I’ve faithfully watched Mr. Peele’s work in the past—his eye-opening piece called Get Out was what really introduced me to him, and it immediately snagged my interest. Well…the movie US not only surpassed my expectations, but it made me fall even deeper into my obsession with Mr. Peele’s work all over again.

So one could only imagine how excited I was when the movie production mammoth that is Universal Pictures & Universal Pictures Home Entertainment reached out to me to do a giveaway for their movie US.

It was perfect! Not only was I already obsessed with the movie prior to the collaboration, but I had never done a giveaway on any of my social media platforms before, so this was the perfect opportunity to get my feet wet. In Universal Pictures fashion, they also sent me a large box full of gifts and merchandise from the movie’s production studio.

Pieces like the iconic gold scissors that actress Lupita Nyong’o holds on the movie’s cover and small cutouts of the Hands Across America figures—which had a huge significance in the actual movie’s plot.

Though I would love to dive into every aspect of the film with you…I can’t! Because, well…you need to see it for yourself. The movie is so engaging, mind-bending and outright good…it’ll leave you searching for YouTube review videos on it—just like I did.
