Shopping Campaign with UNIQLO
The Japanese fashion giant UNIQLO has integrated some new technology into their brick and mortar stores, and I had the opportunity to test it out first-hand. Recently, I ventured off to Disney Springs, located just miles away from Disney World, to visit UNIQLO’s largest Central Florida location. Popularly known for its Japanese casualwear, UNIQLO sells innovative clothing that can tackle just about any seasonal qualm. From their HEATTECH sweaters and shirts to their insulated cotton jackets, you’ll find yourself spending more time in this shopper-haven than you initially intended—I sure did! As I entered UNIQLO’s Disney Springs location, I couldn’t help but notice all the Fall/Winter outwear that was on display for visitors. I love a retailer that stays up-to-beat on their seasonal essentials!
The purpose of my visit was to try out UNIQLO’s new UTme! T-shirt printing machine. Consumers now have the ability to create and print customized T-shirts right inside of any of the select UNIQLO stores that offer the UTme! technology.
Using high-powered lasers and potent printing liquid, UNIQLO can print and customize a T-shirt in mere seconds! By utilizing one of their user-friendly iPads, consumers can curate their own illustrations using personal images, fonts, symbols, and even default patterns that UNIQLO provides. Once your personalized illustration is created, the UNIQLO team can then mimic the image onto one of their 100% cotton T-shirts.
I decided to pair my brand’s logo with UNIQLO’s logo in order to showcase just how personable shoppers can be with their customized illustrations–and it was also a cute nod to our current collaboration. Not only was my customized shirt printed in under 30 seconds, but there was little to-no pixilation or distortion in the design once it was printed onto my shirt. It was definitely a high quality print job!
