What a truly amazing show the emerging designer’s competition was. As Brand Ambassador for Park Avenue Fashion Week, #PAFW15, I had the pleasure of attending the emerging designer’s competition for this year’s show for Park Avenue Fashion Show. It was located in Winter Park where 10 emerging designers competed for their spot to showcase their collections at this year’s Park Avenue Fashion Show, and out of the 10 only 5 were picked by a group of very fashion forward judges. As I arrived I took in the entire venue. It was beautiful.
A gigantic rectangular pool sat in the middle of the entire venue. Elegant chairs and tables were laid out around it. The scenery was just as breathtaking. Far beyond the horizon sat a slow streaming lake and as the sun began to set the designs began to emerge. The designers were very different in all aspects of their designs. The designers were fairly easy to tell apart as they were very different in their aesthetics. One designer in particular attracted my eye the most. She had a beautiful and elegant collection, with light pastel pieces that were made perfectly. Another designer that was very intriguing to me decided to merge fashion with technology, and showcased a skirt that actually lit up in the dark. The skirt was electronically made…..cool! It even came with an attached battery pack in order to shine under any kind of circumstance. I also had a great time hanging with my fellow Brand Ambassadors for Park Avenue Fashion Week 15 The Shoe Maven, Diary of a Debutante, Upbeat Soles, and Ashley Brooke Nicholas – David Plowden, Mods Manor
