Broussard’s

Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 2.35.00 AMOn the first night of my trip in New Orleans I decided to go to Broussard’s restaurant. I had discovered the existence of the restaurant online and decided that I would try it out for a spin, boy I am glad I did. Broussard’s for one is a very old and famous French restaurant in New Orleans. The history of the restaurant dates all the way back to the Screen Shot 2015-09-30 at 2.36.53 AM1800’s. It’s known for it’s fine dining and none other than it’s gigantic jumbo gulf shrimp, which I was informed by my waitress that the shrimp is caught directly out of the New Orleans river. I had never in my life seen a shrimp so huge! And had never tasted one so delicious. The landscape of the restaurant in itself can make you feel as if you are somewhere back in time. The waiters and waitress were very kind and even sat down and informed me of the restaurants history. You know, the thing about New Orleans is that every place, nearly everything, has a history, and people aren’t afraid to share it. Its like every store you step into, every restaurant you eat at, you feel as if you are actually stepping back into time and reliving in that era, just for a few moments of course, and then the sounds of honking car horns can bring you right back to reality – David Plowden, Mods ManorScreen Shot 2015-09-30 at 2.35.09 AMScreen Shot 2015-09-30 at 2.37.00 AM
