A Luxurious Stay at The Grand Bohemian Hotel Orlando

I love Orlando, don’t you?! Well, I can confirm without a doubt that if there’s one place to stay at while visiting one of the most popular cities in Florida, it’s the Grand Bohemian. Sitting in the heart of Downtown Orlando, the Grand Bohemian is an architectural masterpiece. Not only does the hotel chain have locations scattered across the nation, but it’s undoubtedly one of the most luxurious hotels in the Downtown Orlando area. Recently, the Grand Bohemian’s team welcomed me to a 3-day 2-night stay at their Downtown Orlando location, so I packed one of my favorite Calvin Klein duffel bags and made my way over to the lap of luxury.

Day 1:
As I entered the hotel, I was immediately greeted by the hotel’s Operations Manager Justin Williams. A leader in Orlando’s hospitality industry, Mr. Williams and his team assured me that they’d created a 5-star staycation for me at their chain’s Orlando location…and boy were they right!

Not a few moments later, I was immediately chauffeured into a magnificent high-rise suite. I was instantly immersed by a panoramic view of the entire city. Two crystal glasses of champagne, a customized greeting card that was handcrafted by Glazed Flowah, and a hand-written welcome card from the hotel’s management team awaited my arrival.

Adjacent to my champagne was a set of AC Art of Food spices and a customized Beef Carpaccio board that was specifically tailored by their head chef in order to pay homage to my brand’s authentic and unique characteristics. Impressed would be an understatement.

As the night approached, I quickly slid into a silk velvet jacket from Express Men’s newest collection and made my way down to the hotel’s opulent restaurant The Boheme. Reservations for two please!

Awaiting my arrival, the hotel’s Food & Beverage Director Nicole Morais and Beverage Manager Luisa Lopez guided my guest and I to our reserved seating area. Renford Facey, our spectacular server for the evening, did a hospitable presentation of what we were soon to expect.

Appetizers were swiftly served. And as the night carried on, the restaurant’s executive chef, Chef Laurent Hollaendar, perfectly executed a flambé presentation of a medium rare tomahawk steak—Oh…La! La!

Day 2:
As the sun peaked its head over the horizon, and the morning’s light shined through all of my suite’s large bay windows, I indulged in a full continental breakfast in bed—pancakes, sausage, orange juice, fruits, and my favorite…bacon!

The hotel had quite a bit planned for my second day, so I hopped out of bed and slid into a Reiss London white and navy color-blocked shirt with white pants to match. The hotel’s team had planned a personalized picnic for me in the middle of Lake Eola, so I quickly made my way down to the lobby and headed over to the lake.

Sponsored by Orlando Picnic, a locally owned picnic company that provides private picnic services for Florida residents, a luxe picnic spread awaited my arrival. Appetizers from the hotel’s restaurant were neatly placed around the picnic’s wooden table, decorative plants, pillows, and cutlery were stationed around my seating area, and a sign with the illustrated words “An Invitation To Wander with Grand Bohemian & Orlando Picnic” greeted me.

It was such a personable and humbling gesture. Thank you to Grand Bohemian executive coordinator Ariana Cooper and Orlando Picnic for curating such an intimate experience at Lake Eola for me!

As the end of Day 2 approached, it was time to enjoy a wine tasting the hotel had setup for me. I pulled on a silver valor shirt from GUESS and made my way down to the hotel’s swanky lounge, the Bösendorfer Lounge.

The hotel’s Food & Beverage team quickly seated my guests and I and hastily brought over a collection of authentic wines for us to taste. From silky-smooth Rosé to chilled and dry white wines, we tried it all. Small dishes from The Boheme were also brought over in order to balance out our palettes after drinking all of that delicious wine—a much needed gesture.

Day 3:
The final day was reserved for pure relaxation. I woke up and ravished in a bit of breakfast, watched a few shows on one of the two flat-screen televisions my suite housed, and took a nice warm bath in my room’s Jacuzzi bathtub.

After I got dressed for the day, I made my way up to the hotel’s amenities floor where the pool, gym, and spa were located. The hotel had coordinated a complimentary massage at their professional-grade spa the Poseidon Spa.

As I entered the tranquil spa, I was greeted by the spa’s manager Brian Fisher. Mr. Fisher assured me that he and his team had reserved a facial and massage treatment for me, and I quickly changed into my spa robes and prepared myself for an hour of pampering.

Issac was my masseuse for the day, and he instructed me on exactly how my treatment would go. As I began to calmly relax and unwind on the spa bed, Issac began gently unearth all of the knots, tension, and pain that resided in my lower and upper back. It was so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep!

Big thanks to Brian and Issac for ending my trip off with tranquility!

Words really aren’t able to describe how well-thought out, luxurious, hospitable, personable, and welcoming my stay at Orlando’s Grand Bohemian hotel was. The entire staff, from the bellhops, to the servers, to the entire management team, went above and beyond to ensure that my stay would be one to remember. I can’t thank the Grand Bohemian and their entire team enough for putting together such a spectacular staycation. It only validates how much I truly love Orlando, and how much you would too! – David Plowden, David’s Manor.
